Cosentino brings polish, Lamarsa adds luxe—together, they reimagine the kitchen as a space that nourishes both surface and soul.
The kitchen is your home’s right-hand companion—that we all know. But what if you added a brew bar—dipped in class, dripped in caffeine? In today’s world, a “sip studio” isn’t just a want; it’s a now-necessity. And that is why this collaborative effort between Cosentino and Lamarsa might just be the very spark your kitchen’s been waiting for.
Ever stood over your first morning drip and let your mind wander past the countertop where your fingertips tap out sleepy beats? That moment—at the cusp of crema and calm—is where Cosentino’s refined surfaces and Lamarsa’s bean-born brilliance press into a perfect alliance. Like a paper filter catching a morning brew, this pairing ascends beyond mere function. It’s about crafting your cup of bliss against a backdrop worth waking up to—a day steeped in taste, a timeless finish to your espresso escape.

Leonard Mak—founder of LM Studio and designer across architecture and interior retail—ignites the vision for a space built to stir your soul (or at the very least, your coffee). In step with this comes the collaborative event with Cosentino, tapping into a movement where in-house coffee bars are the new home heroes. But what defines your daily drip isn’t just the ritual—it’s the making of it: the materials, the machines, and the mood. All studied, sketched, and sampled by Mak, this was less a launch and more of an intimate walkthrough of the brands and building blocks Cosentino stands behind.

Mak isn’t all style and flash—his work begins with structure, flows through functionality, and lands on aesthetics. And for those whose brews go beyond casual sipping, he highlights a truth: that poorly designed coffee workstations bring more discomfort than meets the eye. To elevate your espresso experience at home, it’s necessary to think through space configuration, smart storage (especially where your machine pulls water), ergonomics that serve your movement, and how a brew bar can exist subtly while still feeling like a signature feature in your home.
So let’s grind down to the real stuff: the spills, stains, and scars your countertop takes. A single scorch on an otherwise pristine top? Unforgivable. Enter Cosentino’s Dekton—a material Mak confidently puts to the test. Heat, scratch, and stain resistant, it’s a resilient surface that doesn’t just survive the daily grind but thrives in it.

Past the countertop and into the craft, Lamarsa takes centre stage, steaming up the scene with their signature La Marzocco lineup—Linea Mini, Linea Micra, GS3, and the Pico grinder. Each setup is a dream: beautiful, barista-approved, and built to elevate even your mid-morning reset.
Driven by Curate Coffee Roasters and ONO Specialty Matcha & Coffee, the event was an espresso prelude poured by practiced hands. With three choices of coffee—Black, Latte, and Cappuccino—guests watched each drink come to life as performance and precision came together in every cup. Co-Founder Shaunie L, a two-time Malaysia Brewers Cup Champion, brewed a crash course on the techniques, tools, and tastes that shape a cup worth savouring.
Lamarsa doesn’t just trade in machines—they go so far as to engineer the ritual. And when paired with Cosentino’s elegant yet enduring base? That’s where the real magic percolates. A kitchen dressed in practical grace and polished poise—now that’s the espresso escape you deserve.
