Dotty’s Just Had A Glow-Up At KLCC And Your Pastry Cravings Should Too

From Salted Egg Cronut to Sambal-sardin Croti, Dotty’s Pastries & Coffee reopens its Suria KLCC outlet with a bigger space, a refreshed menu, and the same homegrown heart Malaysians love.

If Kuala Lumpur had a comfort bakery, it would probably look a lot like Dotty’s Pastries & Coffee. What began as a humble neighbourhood bakery in 2015 has grown into one of the city’s most beloved café brands and now, its Suria KLCC outpost has officially had a glow-up.

Fresh from a major renovation, Dotty’s has reopened its KLCC outlet as a newly expanded 2,544 sq ft space designed for longer coffee dates, bigger catch-ups, and guilt-free pastry ordering. It’s roomier, brighter, and more comfortable but still unmistakably Dotty’s.

Behind the brand is founder Nadia Nasimuddin, whose vision has always been proudly local. While many brands chase international franchises, Nadia went the opposite way. She wanted Dotty’s to be a Malaysian name people remember.

“When travellers think of Malaysian hospitality and pastries, we want them to think of Dotty’s,” she says—a bold statement that feels very on-brand for a bakery that turned salted egg custard into a cult favourite.

Rather than expanding everywhere at once, Dotty’s chose to grow with intention. Today, it operates two flagship outlets, including its newly refreshed space at Suria KLCC, each reflecting its focus on warm service, refined comfort, and baked goods made properly from scratch.

There’s also peace of mind baked into every croissant. In 2023, Dotty’s achieved Halal certification for its central kitchen, ensuring everything from raw ingredients to production processes meets strict standards. Translation: you can order that second pastry without overthinking it.

So, what should you eat first?

The bakery’s greatest hits are still very much in the spotlight. The Salted Egg Cronut, inspired by Nadia’s love for custard egg buns, combines croissant layers, doughnut fluffiness, and rich salted egg custard into something that feels illegal but tastes heavenly. Introduced back in 2015, it remains Dotty’s most iconic creation.

Then there’s the Malt-tilda Cake, Dotty’s luxurious take on the viral Dubai dessert, finished with an in-house chocolate malt drizzle that’s unapologetically rich. It started as a Merdeka special and ended up a permanent menu star because the people demanded it.

For something savoury and frankly very Malaysian, the Signature Croti with Sambal Sardin is peak Dotty’s creativity. It’s a croissant-roti hybrid—flaky, buttery, and crisp—paired with Nadia’s own sambal sardine recipe. It’s nostalgic, modern, and proudly local all at once.

Comfort comes in pasta form too with Spaghetti Masak Lemak Cili Api, where creamy coconut gravy meets Italian noodles in a dish that somehow feels both homely and indulgent. And for the classics crowd, the Dotty’s Beef Burgerkeeps things honest with freshly baked buns and a homemade patty that’s been winning fans since day one.

The refreshed KLCC outlet also introduces a new menu that continues Dotty’s signature blend of international comfort food and Malaysian flavours, the kind of food you crave whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or “I’m just here for cake” time.

At its core, though, Dotty’s hasn’t changed its recipe for success: everything is made from scratch, baked fresh daily, and crafted without preservatives or artificial additives. The renovation may be new, but the soul is very much the same.

In a city obsessed with the next new café, Dotty’s reminds us why consistency, creativity, and local pride still matter. Bigger space, stronger menu, and still very Dotty’s.
