Top 30 Media friends came together at House of 30, swapping stories, raising glasses, and celebrating the industry they help make so interesting.
If there’s one thing Top 30 Media knows how to do, it’s bring interesting people into the same room. House of 30, its inaugural gathering, did exactly that, bringing together award honourees, partners, esteemed guests from across different industries, and friends from across Malaysia’s F&B scene under one roof at Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur.

The event brings together the communities behind Top 30 Media’s portfolio of awards and platforms, including Women of Excellence, Malaysia’s Top 30 Bars, Young Entrepreneur Awards, and The Next 30. More than a celebration, House of 30 is a chance for the people behind these accolades to meet beyond the awards circuit, exchange ideas and, naturally, enjoy a few drinks along the way.

House of 30 marks the next chapter in the Top 30 Media community: one built around bringing remarkable people together beyond its signature awards. Opening the evening, Mr. Alvin Sinclair, Managing Director; and YM Tengku Zai, Group General Manager of Top 30 Media, shared the vision behind the initiative before welcoming honourees, partners, and guests to the first-ever House of 30 gathering.

House of 30 was co-hosted by Lexis Hotel Group at Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur, making the partnership particularly fitting with its founder, Dato’ Professor Mandy Chew Siok Cheng, among the Women of Excellence 2025 honourees.
Welcoming guests to the evening, Dato’ Professor Mandy shared a few words on the value of bringing people, ideas, and ambition into the same space—a fitting start to what looks set to become a regular gathering for the Top 30 Media community.

With KL’s skyline as its backdrop, Satellite Restaurant & Bar provided the setting for an evening that quickly moved from introductions to animated conversations.
The al fresco venue offers sweeping views of the city, including the Petronas Twin Towers, alongside canapés like smoked salmon bites, chicken skewers, mushroom vol-au-vent, mango cheesecake, and mocktails. As the music picked up and the skyline lit up, it proved to be an easy setting for guests to mingle and make new connections.

Guests also got to enjoy PaperKite’s crisp Pale Ale and bolder IPA, while the cocktail selection from The Drinks Collective brought a little more creativity to the table. The drinks were named The Hustler’s Honey and The Disruptor, nodding to Top 30 Media’s awards division, including the Young Entrepreneur Awards and The Next 30. And for those who preferred their drinks a little more classic, there were wines from Albert Wines, Spanish Cellar, and the Embassy of Hungary.

On the evening, YM Tengku Zai and honourees Whulandary Herman, Eryna Su, and Shermaine Wong were dressed by Khoon Hooi, the Malaysian label known for its bold, feminine silhouettes. Each look brought its own blend of polish and personality to the evening.

As the night wound down, guests carried a piece of it home, curated goodie bags made possible by The Olive Tree, Pliē, Soko, Starbucks, Lush, Aira, and Palate Asia, a last, thoughtful gesture to send everyone off. It was a fitting close to the inaugural House of 30, and if this first outing is anything to go by, simply the beginning.
