Instead of the usual meals or spirit-infused dishes, Roku Gin partners with Sun & Moon to introduce a brighter, lighter style of dining built around modern tapas and easy-going pairings.
Framed through Roku Gin’s philosophy of living your best season, discovering flavour with intention, and nurturing real human connection, this story uncovers how Sun & Moon’s contemporary European–Japanese small plates dance in perfect harmony with Roku’s seasonal botanicals. It’s not just a menu but a mood, a mindset, and a gentle nudge to savour the now.
At its heart, this collaboration is a craft-led flavour journey rooted in logic, curiosity, and cultural exchange. It’s modern, tapas-driven dining designed to help guests savour their own season, explore new taste expressions, and connect over experiences that feel elevated yet wonderfully easy-going.

The House of Suntory has long been a home for Japanese artisans, masters devoted to creating world-class spirits shaped by nature and perfected through meticulous craft. Beyond its luxury expressions, such as Yamazaki, Hakushu, Chita, and Hibiki, the legacy continues through Suntory’s premium labels, including Toki, Haku Vodka, and Roku Gin.
Roku Gin, in particular, embodies shun: the Japanese belief in honouring ingredients at the exact moment they taste their best. Its six Japanese botanicals are harvested at peak season, then distilled with precision to create a gin that is complex, balanced, and quietly extraordinary.

Sun & Moon was founded in 2025 by Feast Dining Group, the team behind the Michelin-recognised Eat and Cook, and the fire-driven Bar.Kar. Located in Imbi, Kuala Lumpur, it is a contemporary dining destination that shifts effortlessly from bright, easygoing brunches to warm and expressive bistro evenings.
The space is designed as a refuge from the rhythm of city life, a place to pause, breathe and reconnect. Sunlight sets the tone each morning, while twilight invites conversation, curiosity and deeper connection. It is a restaurant shaped by mood and moment, offering an experience that evolves gracefully throughout the day.

As Malaysia’s number one gin, Roku Gin brings its ‘Come Alive’ campaign to the forefront with a new local interpretation crafted in collaboration with Sun & Moon. Rooted in the campaign’s call to embrace one’s peak, ‘Come Alive’ encourages people to view the everyday with fresh curiosity, seek connection with kindred spirits and rediscover moments that spark vitality. In Kuala Lumpur, this philosophy is expressed through an immersive journey of taste and exploration at Sun & Moon, where a limited-time pairing experience captures nature at its most expressive and invites guests to savour, reflect and explore.
This collaboration also marks the introduction of Darwin Ng as Suntory Global Spirits’ newest Brand Ambassador for Malaysia, bringing his creativity and deep understanding of Japanese spirits to Southeast Asia’s evolving cocktail landscape.

Roku Gin and Sun & Moon have teamed up to create a tapas-style discovery menu that’s basically an invitation to snack, sip, mingle, and repeat. Think of it as daytime dining with a personality—light, playful, and made for conversations that somehow drift effortlessly into late afternoon.
But beneath the ease and elegance lies a purpose: to inspire a little more creativity in how we enjoy gin. This collaboration encourages diners to explore beyond the trusty G&T, introducing new flavour profiles and inventive serves like the Roku Gin Fizz—proof that there’s an entire world of bright, effervescent possibilities waiting just outside the familiar. Instead of infusing spirits directly into the dishes, each plate is paired with a Roku cocktail crafted to echo or elevate its flavours, creating harmonious little duos that feel both modern and unmistakably Sun & Moon. It’s refined, refreshing, and just experimental enough to excite gin lovers while still feeling tailor-made for Malaysian palates.

Start with the Baby Scallop Toast, brightened with yuzu and a hint of chilli, paired with the Citrus Blossom Fizz, a refreshing mix of Roku Gin, jasmine cold brew, and soda that tastes like a cool breeze with excellent manners. Then comes the Truffle Toast, indulgent and aromatic, matched with the Green Aura Fizz, where Roku Gin meets matcha and tonic for a drink that’s classy.

For something savoury-sweet, the Fig and Dry Beef Toast brings local figs and Spanish air-dried beef together, paired with a G&T with Ginger, complete with Bentong ginger candy for a spicy wink.
Finally, dessert arrives disguised as toast: the Strawberry and Balsamic Toast, layered with whipped mascarpone and candied pecans. Its partner, the Golden Mirage, blends passionfruit, lemon, strawberry, and black tea into a spritzy finale you’ll wish came by the jug.
